EDUI
about us
Ecological Development Union International (EDUI) is a global non-profit network for exchange and collaboration regarding “ecological development” – a process that promotes a harmonious and mutually beneficial relationship between the socio-economic development and environmental preservation.
With branches in Asia, Europe and Africa. Many scholars come from China, Germany, Austria, USA, UK, Thailand, France and other countries and areas.
EDUI counts more than 600 members worldwide coming from academia, business, private sector as well as government agencies. Despite their different backgrounds, all members share the vision of a green and sustainable future, which we produce greater social benefits with measurably less resource usage and economic costs while at the same time protecting and improving our environment.
In pursuit of this vision, EDUI members are active in a variety of projects ranging from international academic conferences to local pilot-projects in rural areas of China – for example setting up recycling systems and establishing libraries
The “birth” of EDUI in Beijing, December 2007, where the philosophy of EDUI to develop a clean, resource efficient and recycling economy was born by Dr. David Ness, Prof. Dr. Mannie Liu and Prof. Haifeng Huang
